Videokes in the Neighborhood

I have this neighbor who irritates me every night. She owns a little grocery store who sells everything. From dry goods to wet goods. Every people in the village bought from her with no choice because it is the only mini store that is available. Even though the prices of commodity was little bit higher but still the villagers cater to her store especially in times of emergency. It is also advantage for us because in times of need and shortage in our kitchen stuff, we ran into this store and buy immediately what we needed in our home. But one thing I hate to this store is that the owner has her videoke machines inside her house. It will start as early as 3 in the afternoon until the wee hours in the morning. The loud noise that came from this machines plus the customers who sings out of tune makes me nuts!.grrr!!! Sometimes, customers are drank and sing with their lungs out disturbs all the neighbors of this nuisance things. Pity for all the students who have the exams for the next day, for I am sure that they could not concentrate with their studies. And also for the new mothers who have a little children that disturbs the restful sleep that grabs by the loud videoke machines. But all if these irritations of mine was being vanished when the Mayor in this cities ordered to ban 24/7 all the videokes in the residential areas because of the numerous complaints that he received. Though the City Mayor gives curfew on establishments who operates videokes outside residential areas. Thanks for this law for it gives us all comfort and a good night sleep to every one of us in the village but sorry for my neighbor who owns the little store, I am sure that there are other ways to earn money aside from this business.

Tablet stuck in my throat

I am not feeling well and my backache hurts. I decided to take paracetamol 500mg to ease the pain. As I reach the refrigerator for a glass of water I already have the tablet in my mouth. So when I drink the water the tablet stuck in my throat and panic strikes me. But I tried to drink again the cold water but still it was there. I just close my eyes because I don't want to vomit it and take it all out. Slowly I drink again for the third time, and thanks God, it was slowly going down in my stomach. In my entire life, I really hate taking tablet medicine. It will always stuck in my throat and it shivers me. Maybe, it was not best to drink tablet with a cold really cold water.Isn't it? But for now and its already midnight, I have no choice but to take it because I could no longer bear the pain at the back. I do hope the pain will gone sooner so that I could stay longer here in front of the monitor.

Old Friend

This afternoon, after I finished all my household chores, my husband and I decided to go in a mall to buy something for the clogged drainage in our kitchen. As we walk towards the hardware store I saw Gemma my high school classmate and friend who was also shopping in the mall together with her children. Her physical appearance change a lot and she looks chubby. We were dear friends during our high school days and spend time together always. After our high school graduation I have never heard of her whereabouts. I was so happy and glad meeting old friend like her that I have never seen long time ago. I do hope we could see each other again since she will be staying in our province for good. Keep in touch Gem.!

Ornamental Decorative Gourd

It was our first time to see this Ornamental Decorative Gourd during the 23rd Kadayawan Festival at Agro-Trade Fair and Horticulture Exhibit. My husband and I were amazed with the size and quality of the gourd. We take pictures as a remembrance and they are for sale at P200 a kilo. My mother-in-law was also fascinated bought 2 pieces and paid it for 75pesos. She needed the seed to propagate but until now I never heard if it was alive.lol. It has different colors and sizes. I was trying to ask to the saleslady if this gourd could be eaten but she never answer me. Anyway, the owner of this decorative gourd is Puentespina Orchids.
