Jessica Simpson hit by a kidney infection

Singer and sometimes actress Jessica Simpson made an unexpected appearance Monday - at a Los Angeles hospital.
She wasn't there to cheer up the patients. The blonde star was suffering from a minor kidney infection.
Simpson was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday and released, and her representative says she's doing "much better."
The 27-year-old beauty's Dallas Cowboy boyfriend, Tony Romo, was reportedly not there to hold her hand, however. He was hours away in Texas, writes Ok! magazine, and unable to get to Los Angeles.
Although Simpson is reportedly working on a country music album, her most recent work has been on the big screen. Get well soon Jessica!!!
