My Mom

LoveBirds

At first , my mom bought us 1 set of green lovebirds from home. It was a gift to my daughter who happens to love birds as her pet. Everyday she used to talk to the birds anything that she wants to tell them and even sing a song for the birds. Luckily my cousin Jessie, bring us additional 1 set of blue and yellow birds. Then, Keisha cannot contained her happiness upon seeing them in their cage. But something happened in that lovebirds. While we were in the province for our vacation, At 5 in the morning, my phone rangs, and I immediately answered and it was my mother-in law telling me that all the lovebirds had died. It was brutally killed by a stray cat. The round cage was severely damage and to my dismay, the green birds lay 5 eggs in the nest. All of them was gone and I was so absorb by my anger that when seeing a cat, I throw stones at them. Keisha then, feel sad about it and almost to shed a tear upon learning the news.Here is the photos of the lovebirds who passed away.

Upon returning home in Davao City from our vacation, our compassionate neighbor who happens to be our relative, give Keisha another set of lovebirds. This time, she was so happy and excited to talk and sing to the birds. They have their new home, so that they can fly freely and the stray cat could not go near them.

During our stay in Tacurong, my cousin Cherie an daughter Chyna visit us in our home and invited us to have a snacks in Food Stuff. We went to their store and unfortunately it was close for it was already 5 in the afternoon. We just bought bread from the bakery and wait for Renee, Cherie's husband. Upon arrival of Renee, he is hungry and wants to dine out. So, we rode in his tricycle and bring us to Jampongan. At first, I was wondering and hesitant to go because it was new to me and according to Renee, they serve a hot chili soup with noodles. I was not an eater of a chili and I hate the tingling sensation in my mouth when eating chili. But then, due to my hunger we were there and while waiting for our orders I took some photo of the place.

Order came, and looks like yummy to me. I eat a lot and my daughter Keisha enjoy eating noodles too. The taste was good and every time I eat the noodles , the Coca Cola was ready at my side for the hot chili soup. The soup has the noodles, squid, shrimp, mussels and vegetables and not to forget the chili powder.Price is affordable . Lemon Tree

I wake up early and help my mother clean the house, do the laundry and tend her plants in her garden. I was so envious of here plant that was given by a family friend from Australia. A lemon tree. But she was a reluctant leader at the start, shedding the housewife's apron only after her husband Benigno was assassinated at Manila's international airport on his return from exile in the United States.
Inevitably, her presidency was less successful than the revolution, with a series of coup attempts by the military keeping the administration hamstrung. Aquino was much lauded for her courage, but rarely seemed to be able to get on top of ruling the country.
"I have not always won but ... I never shirked a fight," she said in 1992 before handing power over to her successor, Fidel Ramos.
But she did oversee the writing of a new constitution, which among other things limited a president's time in office to one six-year term.

Born on January 25, 1933 into one of the country's richest families, the Cojuangcos, Aquino grew up in a world of wealth and politics, being the daughter of a three-time congressman.

Black Saturday

Today at 6pm we hear mass at the church together with my cousin jan and seen my other cousin Cchay and her chubby daughter Chyna. My aunt and uncle were there too. Keisha and I were late in going to church in spite of preparing ahead of time because I was waiting for the clock to strike at exactly 6 before going to church. Fortunately my cousin Jan is already there in the church texting me that the mass has already started. We witness the ceremony especially the burning of fire and I was explaining to my daughter the relevance of it. Keisha has already witness the event since Holy Thursday, Good Friday and now the Black Saturday. She was already aware of Christ's Passion in the Cross and even attended the morning procession during Good Friday. She is already educated about the holy week and I want her to learn the traditions customs of the Roman Catholic since she was already 5 years old and now can understand the meaning of the events. At the mass, Keisha's cousin Chyna, was so naughty that never concentrate in the mass. Finally, were home!

Hey!it's Holy Week and I planned to go home in our province. A week ago, Me and Keisha were excited to go home and spend our Holy week in our province Tacurong. We were planning of things that were going to do there like what food to eat, places to go, and visiting my cousins place. But unfortunately emergency has come up. My father-in Law was hospitalized due to complicated sickness and suffering of diabetes. He was confined in the hospital since Sunday March 16 and it is also the celebration of Araw ng Davao and the much awaited fight of Pacquiao-Morales in the boxing history. Our schedule to go home was Monday, march 17, but I decided not to go and reschedule it on Thursday. Monday was busy day for me. I went to our garden in Maligaya be there for the whole day. I arranged and cleaned the surroundings and hopefully customers will drop by but to my dismay, no customers showed up . At 5pm I went home and drop by at the hospital to visit my father-in law, and the situation was still the same, struggling to feel better. Noel and his brother Jun was there watched their father round the clock. Tuesday was another day, and as usual my duty was in Maligaya and I was happy because our helper was there already working and tilling the weeds. SO, I just went back to the hospital and assist Noel of whatever things to do in the hospital. Night time came, I talked to Noel that we will go home on Wednesday and he agreed. My father-in-law feels better and he already wants to go home and spend his holy week at home. Keisha and I wake up early and prepare all our things to be bought home. At last , 12pm we were already in the commuter van ready to travel for 3 hours. On our way home, roads were still the same, baranggays and municipalities was still the same and at the middle of our travel, Keisha and I sleep for boredom. I was awaken by the ring of my cell phone and I immediately answered it, It was my aunt asking our location and what time where going to arrive. Finally, at 3pm Keisha and I were already in front of Tacurong Market, walking towards the store of my aunt where my father was waiting and excited to see Keisha. At last, were home!

Last night, after we visit my father-in-law in the hospital , the doctor ordered that they needed blood for blood transfusion because his hemoglobin was low. In a rematch of a 2004 slugfest that ended in a draw, one judge gave Marquez a 115-112 decision while another saw Pacquiao the winner by the same margin. The third judge gave the bout to the Asian star 114-113.
The difference in a bout when both men were bloodied but traded hard punches to the finish proved to be a third-round knockdown inflicted by Pacquiao, who improved to 46-3 with two drawn.
"I did my best. I'm happy because I won," Pacquiao said. "Marquez is a really hard opponent. I expected the fight was going to be hard. He moved fast. He had head movement and more counter-punches."
Marquez, who fell to 48-4, said he felt robbed by the decision.
"I thought I won. The decision wasn't correct," Marquez said. "I haven't lost anything at all. The people know who really won the fight. Decisions like this are disturbing. I believe I won the fight."

Pacquiao is expected to move up to the lightweight division and challenge US fighter David Diaz, the WBC lightweight champion who improved to 34-1-1 with a majority decision win over Mexican Ramon Montano in a non-title undercard bout.

Pacquiao was expected to receive nearly five million dollars from the pay-per-view battle with Marquez taking home about 1.5 million dollars.
Pacquiao knocked down Marquez three times in the first round of their first meeting but the Mexican collected himself and rallied for a draw as one judge scored the bout for each fighter and the third saw the bout as a draw.
The rematch began cautiously. Pacquiao landed a hard left and evasive Marquez a solid right to the chin in a tactical first round and tagged Pacquiao with a hard left to the chin late in the second round.
But aggressive Pacquiao struck late in round three, firing a hard left hand to the chin with 20 seconds remaining. The Asian superstar staggered Marquez's knees again just as the bell sounded to end the round.
"Our number one plan for training was the left hook. I was lucky enough to hit it in that round," Pacquiao said.
With impressive upper body motion and footwork as well as powerful punches, Pacquiao continued to attack. Marquez answered by slowing the pace and working his right hand, often keeping the challenger at bay with counter-punches.
"We pressed and we hurt him three, four, five times," Marquez said. "Like in 2004, it's not just one round."
An accidental head-butt midway into the seventh round opened a bloody cut over the right eye of Marquez and seconds later Pacquiao pressed the attack with a furious flurry.
"It didn't affect me," Marquez claimed.
Pacquiao also received a cut above his right eye and Marquez opened it into a wide bleeding gash with punches early in the eighth round, trickling blood interfering with Pacquiao and allowing Marquez to dominate the round.
"The cut, it really bothered me. I couldn't see out of my right eye," said Pacquiao. "That's why I was so bothered. That's why I couldn't cover myself."
Pacquiao opened another cut above Marquez's right eye in a tight ninth round and began the 10th with a hard left to the body in a hard flurry, then reopened the gash above Marquez's eye while protecting his own cut.
The final round began tentatively but led to solid exchanges between the bloodied battlers in the last seconds, trading blows to the final bell that prompted each fighter to raise his hands in victory.
Pacquiao, 29, won his seventh fight in a row and improved to 20-1 since 1999, his lone loss a 2005 decision to Mexican Erik Morales. Marquez, 34, has lost only twice in that span, the other time in 2006 to Indonesian Chris John.

Last Thursday, my family and I went to the back of SM parking area where the Agro Trade Fair for Araw ng Davao 2008 was located. Plants displayed were also for sale and as a plants enthusiast, I really admire the different colors and flowering plants that being exhibited by the gardeners. Fried Crepe

This is a fried crepe. Yesterday afternoon, I was in the market to buy foods for weekly consumption. I noticed an old man selling the fried crepe. I bought 7 pieces for 20 pesos only.It has a melted sugar on top and was so yummy and crispy. Upon reaching home, Noel and Mica too love to eat this food. I really miss this because way back in our province, I used to buy it in the sidewalk with a drink of coca cola. Favorite Pillow

This is my daughter keisha's favorite pillow. It was given by her grandma Viv. It was brought in Kimsan store the first day we arrived in our province. Her cousin Chelsea has the same pillow too but the color was pink. Everytime Keisha sleep, she really hug and squeeze the pillow until such time she fall asleep.
