Hannah Montana has signed a book

The multi-hyphenate teen star has signed a book deal to tell the story of her young life, it was announced Tuesday. The memoir by Cyrus, who stars in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," is planned for release next spring.
Disney said the book will focus particularly on the guidance of Cyrus' mother, Leticia.
"I am so excited to let fans in on how important my relationship with my family is to me," the 15-year-old singer-actress said in a statement. "I hope to motivate mothers and daughters to build lifetimes of memories together and inspire kids around the world to live their dreams."
The Disney Book Group, in a clear bit of synergy for the Walt Disney Co., has world rights to the book. Disney said Cyrus' book will feature previously unseen photos, family stories and "a look at her inner circle of loved ones."
The book, the first by Cyrus, will be published under the Disney-Hyperion Books imprint. A good move for a 15 year old who wants to share her knowledge and talent to everybody. Keep it up Miley!!!

Keisha's Phonics Laptop

My daughter Keisha always grab the opportunity to play in the computer for online games but finds her alternative not to argue with his dad anymore in using the computer. She has found her Phonics Laptop and happy to play it again. It was bought last year by her grandmother and it was kept in the toy room for a long time. The laptop has a lot of learning activities that Keisha could learn and improve her spelling and pronunciation skills. It was a battery operated toy and she always get the rechargeable battery of his dad without permission. And when his dad found out the battery was missing in its place, dad has already in mind who was the culprit of it. I guess its the best way that my daughter has her own phonics laptop so that she could learn well unlike in the real computer that she always play games at y8.com and never learned anything about it. It was also a relief to his dad because he can use the computer anytime he wants to without the little girl ready sitting in front of the monitor.

Foxy Brown is free from Jail

Rapper Foxy Brown is out of jail. Family and fans greeted Brown Friday outside Rikers Island as she was released from the jail after serving an eight-month sentence.
"The first place I want to go is church. I've got to get on my knees," said Brown.
Instead, Brown went shopping in Harlem, had some soul food and was driven to her childhood home in Brooklyn in a white Rolls Royce Phantom.
Her mother, Judith Marchand, presented her with smiley-face balloons and the two hugged outside the family's home in the Prospect Heights neighborhood. "I did almost a year in prison, a year in prison, just because my name is Foxy Brown," she said.
Brown, whose real name is Ingrid Marchand, was sentenced in September 2007 to a year in jail for violating the terms of her probation after she was accused of hitting a woman with a cell phone. She was on probation for an August 2004 attack on two manicurists at a Manhattan nail salon. She pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in the 2004 incident.
Known for her saucy outfits and racy lyrics, the 29-year-old rapper has a handful of albums, including "Ill Na Na" and "Chyna Doll."

Sandra Bullock unhurt after a head-on crash

Sandra Bullock and her husband were unhurt after a head-on crash with a drunken driver, police said Saturday.
The actress and her husband, Jesse James of TV's "Monster Garage," were being driven in a sport-utility vehicle Friday night when a station wagon crossed the center line and hit them, said Gloucester police Lt. Jerry Cook.
Both vehicles were totaled, but no one was hurt. The vehicles were traveling 15 to 20 mph, Cook said.
The other car was driven by Lucille Gatchell, who registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, Cook said.
She was held by Gloucester police overnight and released Saturday on personal recognizance. She is to be arraigned Tuesday in Gloucester District Court.
Gatchell did not immediately return a call seeking comment Saturday. Calls to representatives for Bullock were not immediately returned.

School Enrollment

Enrollment days are here again!After a short time of vacation , school of PWC is now starting to accept enrollees from different level. My daughter Keisha who is in Senior Kinder the next school year was excited to see again her teacher and visit the school. We went in school early in the morning and get her report card and her grades were excellent and I filled up some forms for the enrollment. I only pay the entrance fees and upon paying at the cashier, as usual, the snail people of cashier do their work slowly. By Paying tuition of Keisha monthly for the past two years, I always meet the cashier and I hate the system that their doing. Receiving and issuing of official receipts takes 30 minutes to do it. They are using the computerized transactions but still the system was slow. I guess the problem was the person receiving the payment. Even my husband who was enrolled during his elementary days, kept on telling me that the same system was used and have to wait for a long time in transacting with them. Lots of parents keep on complaining of their slow system in the finance department. I already raise this issue to Keisha's teacher, and she answered me that, We can't do nothing about it, we have just to tolerate and deal with it. The school gives the best education, have their finest and the best teacher teaching all the students but the only thing that I don't like is the services that being rendered by the cashier department. Anyway, my daughter was already enrolled and ready for the school opening on June 2008.

Britney Spear has a minor traffic accident

Britney Spear, the pop star, was again in headline news.
The pop star was involved in a minor traffic accident late Saturday, but no one was injured and no vehicles were damaged, authorities said.
Spears was driving her 2008 Mercedes on the eastbound Ventura Freeway just east of the 405 freeway about 8:20 p.m. when the mishap occurred, said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.
Spears was in stop-and-go traffic when her car struck a 2006 Nissan in front of her that had stopped. The Nissan then pushed forward into another vehicle. No damage was noted to any of the vehicles.

A son for Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett has given birth to her third son.
Blanchett, 38, delivered Ignatius Martin Upton in Sydney on Sunday, said Tim McKeough, media relations manager at the Sydney Theatre Company, where Blanchett and her playwright husband are co-artistic directors.
"All are well and very happy," McKeough said Monday.
The baby weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, he said.
Blanchett and husband Andrew Upton have two other sons: Dashiell, 6, and Roman, 3.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says the 39-year-old rapper was arrested late Thursday night following an incident at his home in Wellington. He was being held without bond.
It wasn't known if he had an attorney. A message left with his agent wasn't immediately returned early Friday morning.
The rapper, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, spent a night in jail in 2001 after being arrested following a domestic dispute.
He sold 15 million copies of the single "Ice Ice Baby" in 1990.

I love dogs.Having my dog Spike makes my life more enjoyable. Even my daughter Keisha has the care and love for dogs. Every morning we walk and stroll around the village as our morning routinely exercise. Upon reaching home, my family gathers at our lawn and have a quality time with our dogs. Gardening

I was up early and prepared breakfast for my family. I also cooked viand for lunch so that I will not go home to prepare again. After this, I went to my garden located in Maligaya subdivision and started to work right away. I cleaned the surroundings because leaves from the santol tree is now falling and scattered all around the places. I also pull the weeds from the plants and place some fertilizer on it. It was a tiring day because the sun was too hot but still hoping that customers would drop by and buy our plants. Thanks God 2 customers were around and bought some plants. I am fascinated hearing foreign words and phrases. I am alert and keen hearing them because I want to learn and speak one. From time to time, I browse and read it and even share it with my daughter Keisha. The Italian word the I always heard from Project Runway show is arrivederci which means farewell. Before learning the meaning of this word, I have to consult my dictionary first and tried to memorize it. Learning different languages makes me more interesting and eager to learn it. I even shared it to my cousin Janice who study and graduated as caregiver. They have their lesson in French. Sometimes we are trying hard to have a conversation in French. We just laugh with our mistakes and try to say it again correctly. I do hope I could find a foreign friend all over the world here who could teach me how to speak well. Sayonara!!!! and Good night.

Dinner Time

I have my dinner at my in-law's house. They have their grilled pork and mom-in-law made some vegetable salad, lettuce and cucumber with mayonnaise. She let me the first one to taste it and its so crunchy and sour. She uses the imported dressings that came from Australia. Abet the helper bought coca cola and dinner was superb! We all dine together with my brother-in-law' family. As usual food were taken in an instant. I enjoy having dinner with them because the dining table was so busy and we talk everything under the sun. We laugh together, hearing some gossips, and even share some inspiring thoughts while dining. This may only happen once a month or even less so I am looking forward to be with them again as well as visiting my in laws once in awhile.

This is Keisha's favorite accessory. She wears it everyday. She bought it for P25 in the "bangketa"-sidewalk. She even washed it with soap and water to look as good and brand new. lol. My daughter's favorite show

Who on earth doesn't like High school musical? Me and my daughter love it so much. We always watch it on tv everyday. Keisha's favorite characters are Gabriela and Sharpay. She even sing their songs and even imitate their language from a certain scene in the movie. Me too as a mom, was enjoying their movie and shows. It has a light story and been attracted to their songs. Even when we are traveling, Keisha kept on singing the song even his dad loves to sing it too. I do hope we could watch more movies and shows about them. Go guys, keep up the good work!

Papaya Fruit

Eating ripe papaya is one of my favorites. RIght now I am chewing the fruit that I have sliced a while ago. I preferably dip it in salt. It's so crunchy and yummy. Others want it to dip in vinegar with salt. My husband Noel wants to dip it with mayonaise. Weird!? Papaya in the Philippines especially here in our place Davao City is available the whole year round. It has many dishes to make, like atsara (papaya salad), it can serve and eaten after dining as side dish, the unripe one could mixed in the chicken soup, papaya juice and a lot more. Sometimes it has a medicinal uses. Mine was eaten raw together with my family. The papaya is regarded as a fair source of iron and calcium; a good source of vitamins A, B and G and an excellent source of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Let's Eat and taste the best fruit in the country!

Real Gold for Rewards in Diwalwal

Students in a Philippine gold mining village strike gold every time they graduate at the top of their class _ literally.
Robec June Calunia, a 12-year-old valedictorian of Mount Diwata Elementary School, was among 10 students who received a 10-gram (one-third ounce) gold medal last Friday, said Francisco Tito, leader of southern Diwalwal village who came up with the idea.
The aim is to encourage students _ children of small-scale gold miners _ to excel in school, he said.
Mountainous Diwalwal is home to 40,000 settlers, most of them miners. Tito said he thought of the program six years ago when he saw an impoverished mother weeping after unsuccessfully trying to pawn her sick child's fake gold-painted school medal.
"I thought, `Why not give the children real gold medals.' Anyway, we have gold here," Since 2003, village leaders have solicited gold contributions from miners for 10 medals a year. It costs 11,000 pesos (US$263; ?166) to produce each of the 16-karat medals.
They go to the top honor students in grades one through six at the 1,200-pupil Mount Diwata Elementary School and to students in the first through fourth years at the 750-student Union High School, Tito said.
The two are the only public schools in the village, while the rest are privately run.
"The students are inspired. In fact, the competition has become stiff because some parents from nearby villages with bright kids now send their children to school in Diwalwal," Tito said.
It was the fifth gold medal for Calunia, a consistent top honor except for one year, he said.
A bodyguard-turned-miner, Tito described his forays into makeshift mining tunnels that dot Mount Diwata, about 930 kilometers (580 miles) southeast of Manila. He said it is like "entering the mouth of a crocodile" where the miner "gets a 50-50 chance of dying" _ each time hoping to hit the jackpot with a big gold find.
He said even those who make some money on gold do not have the skills to make their small wealth grow, and accidents are common. Three years ago, 12 miners died when a tunnel caved in.
"So we are really striving to educate our children, because education is something they can hold on to," he said. "We have seen that education is more important than gold."

Good night everyone! Been tired all day. We deliver plants at the People's Park here in Davao City. I'd just help Richard to unload and load the plants. People's Park now is so beautiful and attractive. THe place was safe and I could see the police guarding the vicinity from time to time. It is a free admission. My daughter Keisha enjoy the colorful fountains. I enjoy watching and admiring the big statue that was place inside the park and the creation of Kublai Milan. THe park also offers an entertainment for children. It has all the complete facilities and colorful ones. Bye for now , see yah in the morning. Keisha's Phobia

Recently, Keisha was having a great time attending birthday party of her classmate held in McDonald's place. She had finished her spaghetti, chicken and ice cream, joined all the games and won several prizes for her efforts. She was even dancing and laughing with her classmates until the fast-food chain's mascot Grimace (or Ube, as she called it) came bounding out from behind the closed door. Upon seeing it Keisha finally ran and looked for me and the never ending hug that we have till the end of the party. She refused to join and continue the good time she have with her classmates. Even the moms encourage her to join again and keep on explaining that it was only a mascot, a man wearing a costume. They did not succeed in persuading Keisha to play and even ask me if we can go home early. We finished the party and its time to go home but still Keisha was holding me tightly and keep on asking if the mascot went home ahead of us. These are irrational fears. Fears that are normal to her age. At this stage they are basically being cautious. They don't understand. They don't comprehend to many things yet, so when something unfamiliar comes in, it causes not really fear but more of anxiety. They are ways on how to deal or help your kids overcome their anxieties. I teach Keisha to face her fears. I keep on explaining things over and over again and not making a big deal out of it. Tried to divert her attentions when fears come. And when we are going to attend parties, her first question raise is, if the mascot was present in the party? And now, when mascot is around, I tried to convince her to touch or hold the mascot's hands and let her feel the big mascot. At first, she was hesitant and still afraid to hold it, but later on she was comfortable and even wants to take pictures as a souvenir.

Realization

After several years we've been together, now is the only time Noel will try to look for a better future from the other country. Living together is not easy besides married life is not a bed of roses as they say. We have our ups and downs , shortcomings but still were here , were together as one. We share something in common, have the same interests but sometimes clashed with our ideas. He decided to apply in Australia because he wants to have a good future of his own with his family. Time will come when our daughter Keisha would be in the higher grade in school and tuition fees is kept on increasing and we can't afford to send her in college. Mybe for practical reason, It is good that Noel will have a stable job to support us and if this will push through, It is our first time to be separated in the longest time. Hope that he can cope up and me too. I'm hoping and praying that all our plans would be successful and eventually we can follow him in Australia.

Children Stories

Keisha my daughter love books. She loves to read books especially with stickers. During daytime, after watching Disney channel on television, she gathers all her books and select the Disney Princess stories. And when we are in our garden, she loves to reiterate to me while I am working. She even read her past books from school. She kept on reviewing it and she told me that when she will be in the next grade she will become the best reader in school. She is now a fast reader and sometimes when words confused her, she tried to ask for a help from us to read it correctly. And when nigh time came, She and her dad lying down in the bed side by side reading the books. She want her dad to listen only while she reads it. But Daddy was a sleeper! After 10 minutes of listening, his eyes were already close and snoring can be heard all over the room.lol. Here is the photo of Keisha's story books.
